Lowdel Inc created this integrated system to stop a conveyor once a barcode is read by the scanner and the lookup program identifies additional picks are required.
Backend SQL Server database is used to automate lookup and user interface of additional picks. Centralized warehouse network is used to control, monitor and automate the system.
This solution combines the following devices and software components
- Two Conveyors running at different speeds to provide a gap between boxes
- Datalogic 2100N fixed mount scanner to read a 10 mil tracking barcode
- Logic box for power and communication with devices
- Ethernet Network for remote access and control
- Code2Stop software sharing data over a network
- Pick-to-Voice program monitoring directories for result string
- Lookup database used to identify fulfillment requirements per order
- Industrial automation devices used to interrupt a relay and stop conveyor
