Code 2 Print reads barcodes on cases transported in front of the inbound scanner. The data string is sent to the server. The Lowdel software will accept the barcode and lookup this value as a primary key in an SQL database. The database will be populated by the conveyor system. The files are dropped into a directory and imported into Code2Print.
Once a value is scanned and matched with a corresponding value in the database a format file is populated and sent to the print & apply applicator. The label will be printed on top of the case.
An outbound scanner will read the printed data to ensure a label has been printed on the box and that the barcode is readable.
Maintenance routines will automatically clear old data from the database tables to prepare for the next day’s production run.
